Edwin Hargrave

Edwin is a Principal at HFA and leads the Science and Technology Team in Boston. With more than 35 years of experience, he guides an inquiry-based design process that delivers bespoke solutions aligned with each client’s mission. By asking the right questions, Edwin and his team uncover the core of a client’s DNA and apply a proven toolkit to create environments that advance research and innovation.

He works closely with project teams to keep efforts aligned with client goals, leads proposals for new work, cultivates strategic partnerships, and monitors emerging trends to keep HFA ahead of the curve. Throughout his career, he has contributed to award-winning projects, including recognition from clients’ own industries for advancing mission-driven outcomes.

A professional musician as well, Edwin brings the same foundation of skill and purpose to his architectural practice. He is energized by HFA’s national footprint and firm-wide collaboration.
