Jon Romig

Jon is a Senior Lab Planner at HFA who is focused on the planning and design of science, engineering, and technology facilities. His projects have earned numerous design awards over his 43 year career.

Jon has delivered complex facilities for government, institutional, educational, and corporate organizations nationally and internationally. He is recognized for integrating intricate programs, architecture, MEP systems, and user needs into cohesive, high-performing environments. From single laboratories to multi-building campuses and national campus portfolios, he develops highly functional, cost-effective solutions.

A skilled communicator and collaborator, Jon translates technical requirements into clear design strategies and brings diverse stakeholders into alignment around project goals. He contributes to the industry through conference presentations, published articles, and service on the NIH Scientific and Technical Review Board for facilities construction grants.
