With more than 29 years of leadership and project architect experience, Craig Hacker (AIA, NCARB, LEED AP BD+C) has recently been promoted to Restaurants Senior Lead at HFA. Craig proudly leads the architecture team that supports Chick-fil-A and makes a point to place an emphasis on focusing on his team, fostering camaraderie and collaboration that shows up in the day-to-day project work. He believes that the key to building and strengthening relationships with his peers, clients, and others throughout the AEC industry is based on transparency, clear communication, consensus building, and teamwork.
“I have always been passionate about sharing the knowledge I have with others, especially when it comes to mentoring. I enjoy being a resource they can turn to and am always available to talk through or debate different concepts and ideas,” says Hacker.
Hacker credits his success to the many personal and professional role models and mentors throughout his career who have set the bar for quality work high. He holds high expectations for himself and his team, always striving to exceed his clients’ goals and needs, identifying new opportunities, and creating innovative solutions for their programs.

Hacker concludes by saying that he is most excited about strengthening and growing the Chick-fil-A team as he takes on his new role at HFA. He is eager to build upon the dynamic relationship his team has with Chick-fil-A to continue supporting them as a strategic partner and making their programs stronger, while allowing his team to grow individually by working on a wider variety of items for a broader level of experience.
Hacker adds, “In my experience focusing on and building individual talents within a team makes us stronger together. Collaboration is key to this, and I am excited to see how we can continue to adapt, grow, and strengthen our team to exceed our clients’ needs for years to come.”
