HFA is excited to announce the addition of two accomplished mechanical engineers, Alex Halloran and Aric Reed, to the Healthcare team. Both bring a wealth of experience in healthcare and higher education sectors, significantly enhancing HFA's MEP/FP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) capabilities to better serve clients and communities.

Alex Halloran joins as Healthcare Team Lead, where he will guide a multidisciplinary MEP team in delivering impactful, client-centered solutions. With nine years of specialized expertise, Alex has demonstrated remarkable project management and design leadership skills in high-impact projects. Previously named Director of Engineering at his former firm, he successfully led a team of MEPF staff, tackling large-scale healthcare projects such as the UAMS Proton Therapy Center—the first of its kind in Arkansas—as well as the Baptist Hospital Inpatient Behavioral Health Center and the Piedmont ICU Expansion. Alex also brings valuable experience from higher education projects, including the UCA Integrated Health Sciences Building and the University of Arkansas Rice Research Facility. Known for his commitment to quality, Alex’s focus on both technical precision and client relationships aligns well with HFA's mission.

Aric Reed, with more than 12 years of experience, joins HFA as Healthcare MEP Program Lead. In this role, Aric will drive business development, oversee project delivery, and ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient-centered care. Aric’s extensive portfolio includes work on diverse projects, from hospitals and laboratories to high-rise offices and performing arts centers. Recognized for his leadership in sustainable design, Aric led MEP efforts on six LEED Silver and Gold-certified projects, and his work was awarded the 2022 AEE Regional Energy Project of the Year. His reputation as a leader and innovator is underscored by his recent recognition in Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine’s Top 40 Under 40 list. Aric’s strong focus on building and mentoring high-performing healthcare MEPFP teams ensures a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

“We are thrilled to welcome both Alex and Aric to our team,” said Paul Sabal, who leads the Healthcare team at HFA. “Their combined expertise in healthcare design and project delivery will be invaluable as we continue to expand our reach and impact. Alex’s dedication to client-centered solutions and Aric’s commitment to sustainable, high-quality design align perfectly with our vision for the future of healthcare design at HFA.”
